WSOP App Review 2024 update

There isn’t a poker brand more powerful than WSOP USA – the World Series of Poker – which extends to WSOP NJ and WSOP NV. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) began in 1970 when Benny Binion invited six players to play a small event. Since then the tournament has developed into a world-wide phenomenon with thousands of players making the annual journey to Vegas for their chance to make it big.

WSOP APP Key Facts

In 2013, Caesars Entertainment finally gave us a WSOP.com online poker room using the reliable 888poker software: WSOP Poker.

The first site that launched was WSOP.com NV for Nevada players only, as Nevada legalized online poker. Then came WSOP.com New Jersey for only players located in New Jersey. Both sites operated independently, so action was hard to come by compared to most international poker sites.

The size of the player pools increased after the governors of Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey signed the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement in 2017. This is a player-sharing agreement that allowed sites operating in those state to combine their player pools. WSOP was the only operator eligible to do so, and it completed the merge in 2018..

Today, traffic fluctuates dependent upon the time of year. On average, several hundred players are at the tables. However, during WSOP Online bracelet events or WSOP Circuit events online, traffic can double or triple.

Game selection improved over time. WSOP Online now offers No-Limit Texas Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo. But it’s often hard to find Stud games available. Nonetheless, there are full ring games, jackpot-style sit-and-gos, and multi-table tournaments available in the most popular poker variants. You can find a solid WSOP.com schedule running daily and weekly, with special series like the Winter Online Championships, as well as the WSOP Online bracelet events and the WSOP Circuit Online ring events.

WSOP NV Lobby

The WSOP.com poker app is already a popular destination for players just learning the game. And it is possible to find some incredibly soft games. The small stakes No-Limit Hold’em games are particularly good for experienced players looking for some quick wins. But the ability to win a real WSOP gold bracelet online takes things to a whole different level with opportunities to satellite into the big live poker tournaments as well as buy-in to the online bracelet events.

In 2020, WSOP launched its online poker site in Pennsylvania. Many expected Pennsylvania’s governor to sign the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement in short order, so Pennsylvania online poker could join those in NV and NJ. It would quickly become the largest poker site in the United States’ regulated market. However, Pennsylvania has yet to sign MSIGA as of 2023, and its gaming regulator has no timetable as to when it might do so.

Then, in 2022, Michigan online poker welcomed WSOP players to its virtual tables. WSOP Online launched there in the first half of that year, and its market rivaled that of its sister site in Pennsylvania for single-state poker traffic. Michigan’s governor did, in fact, sign MSIGA in late 2022 to allow its poker sites to join across state borders. Even so, only a WSOP competitor took advantage of the offer and joined its Michigan site to New Jersey. The WSOP.com app has yet to connect WSOP MI to WSOP NV and WSOP NJ, and it has given no estimate as to when it will happen.

WSOP App Availability

WSOP got a slow start in the US market, but ten years later, it has grown into a respected and popular poker app.

Today, players can compete on the WSOP NV within the state of Nevada and WSOP NJ in the state of New Jersey. Their prize pools are connected, so players in both states compete at the same tables and in the same online poker tournaments. This two-state WSOP app offers the most WSOP bracelets online each summer and in the fall months, as well as the most WSOP Circuit ring events throughout the year.

WSOP PA is available to players located within the state of Pennsylvania only. If and when the governor signs MSIGA, WSOP will be able to connect its Pennsylvania players to those playing Nevada and New Jersey online poker. Players can win a WSOP bracelet on this site in the summer from a selection of events, along with one event in the autumn.

WSOP MI is online only for players located within the state of Michigan. This state did sign on to MSIGA, which means the WSOP can connect its players to those in Nevada and New Jersey. It is expected to do so before the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas. Players can compete in WSOP events online in Michigan during the summer and once in the fall.

The governments of West Virginia, Rhode Island, and Connecticut have legalized in-state online poker. However, each of those states is small, and poker operators have yet to set up servers there and launch their sites. WSOP has yet to partner with a land-based casino or racetrack in any of those states, which would be the first step to launch a WSOP app online there.

Summer is peak traffic time for cash games and tournaments, since players flood WSOP USA for its exclusive live WSOP and WSOP Circuit satellites and events.

You can find much softer cash games and tournaments at other times of the year.

Play WSOP APP for Actual WSOP Bracelets

One of the biggest perks of the WSOP.com app is that you can compete for legitimate WSOP bracelets in online events. This happens during the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in the summer, as well as once in the fall months. Fact: The first-ever WSOP bracelet to be awarded outside of Vegas in the summer was won by a player from WSOP.com New Jersey! Players have since won from Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada and New Jersey, all online. One player even drove to New Jersey, sat in his car, and played online on his laptop from a grocery store parking lot…and won a gold bracelet!

WSOP satellites are a big deal on all of the WSOP sites because you can actually win seats and full prize packages for live WSOP events – Chris Moneymaker-style. There are always online satellites leading up to the WSOP Main Event each year. And in 2023, with the introduction of the WSOP Paradise Series in the Bahamas in December, there are opportunities to win seats from online satellites in the US market. Satellites typically start at just $1, sometimes even with freerolls, and players can earn seats through a variety of paths.

WSOP Circuit Satellites and Online Events

The WSOP Circuit is the lower buy-in, more regional series where players can win WSOPC gold rings and play their way into the season-ending Tournament of Champions. WSOPC events run all over the United States, not to mention an international Circuit series that spans the globe. And with the US markets offering WSOP app play, it is yet another way to win WSOP Circuit rings.

In fact, the WSOPC events are so popular that the US sites run them several times throughout each season. For example, at the start of the WSOP Circuit’s 19th season, which runs from July 2023 through May 2024, the World Series wasted no time in adding Online Circuit schedules. In July 2023, there were 18 events each on WSOP PA, WSOP MI, and WSOP NV/NJ. In August, there were 12 events on each, with a similar lineup in September. Players have numerous opportunities to win gold rings and earn their way to the Tournament of Champions, which now takes place at the start of the summer WSOP in Las Vegas and promises a $1M guaranteed prize pool – as a freeroll for qualifiers.

WSOP APP NJ/NV Player of the Year Race

Steadfast grinders compete in MTTs all year to earn points for the Player of the Year leaderboard, one for players on NV/NJ combined, another leaderboard for Pennsylvania players, and another for Michigan. All scheduled multi-table tournaments afford the opportunity to earn points for the Player of the Year race in your designated area. The events must be open to all (not invitational or exclusive to women), and some tournaments even use multipliers for points, per the POY details.

At the end of the calendar year, the online player with the most leaderboard points in each area wins the following:

1. $10,000 cash prize

2. Exclusive WSOP.com Player of the Year ring

And that’s it. Resident or visitor, local or foreign, if you want to play online poker on WSOP.com NJ or NV, WSOP MI or PA, you can if you are in one of those states Residency is not required.

Other Promotions on the WSOP App

WSOP welcome offer

Since the merging of the player pools between Nevada and New Jersey, the overall volume and value of poker promotions at WSOP.com NJ and NV have accelerated nicely. Among the regular promotions, you will find::

1. Monthly reload bonus (typically 100% match up to $500)

2. Sit & Go leaderboards with $1,000 in weekly prizes

3. BLAST leaderboards with $1,000 in weekly prizes

WSOP Pennsylvania players have a special bonus only available in that state:

1. Player recruiter program, 100% rakeback and tournament tickets for three months for signing up five new players.

WSOP Poker Rewards Program

As soon as you start playing for cash at WSOP Poker in Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Michigan, you will be instantly enrolled in the WSOP.com Poker Rewards program. You can earn both WSOP Points and Caesars Rewards for every raked hand you play. And the best part is that you earn points whether you win the pots or not.

The WSOP.com Poker Rewards program allows you to accrue APPs (Action Player Points) by playing cash games and tournaments. You earn points as follows:

1. Ring games: $1 in rake = 2 APPs (based on your contributed portion of the rake for each hand played)

2. Tournaments: $1 in fees = 2 APPs

As you collect points monthly, you can achieve bronze status and then your APPs become WSOP Points at a set rate. Those points can be redeemed for real money (100 points equals $1, minimum 1,000 points per transaction). These are the four levels available each month:

1. Player: fewer than 200 APPs = no WSOP Points

2. Bronze: 200-749 APPs = 4x Points multiplier

3. Silver: 750-1,499 APPs = 10x Points multiplier

4. Elite: 1,500 or more APPs = 12.5x Points multiplier

If you earn more than 20,000 points in a single year, you win entry to the Champions Club, which awards a 16x WSOP Points multiplier.

Notably, if you earn rewards points at another US-facing, state-regulated online poker site, you can show proof to a customer representative at WSOP.com, and they will convert that status into rewards.

At the same time that you earn points on the WSOP site, you will earn Caesars Rewards. Caesars Entertainment owns the World Series of Poker, so you earn status points that can then be used at any Caesars-owned property around the world. On the WSOP.com website or app, simply go to the Caesars Rewards tab and link your account. You will earn Tier Credits that will translate to tier advancement on your Caesars Rewards account.

Tournaments and Freerolls

The WSOP app offers a wealth of tournaments at varyious buy-in levels to accommodate a wide range of players.

Oftentimes, the players create a generally soft pool, and it’s likely many are first-timers after seeing a WSOP broadcast on TV or seeing a clip online. WSOP Poker is the only legitimate place to qualify via satellite for the live World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. And since the introduction of the World Series of Poker’s first online bracelet event in 2015, players have been winning gold bracelets online, without having to play a single hand of live poker!

More than that, the WSOP Poker app has become a regular poker home for many poker players in the states in which the site operates.

While there is one standout tournament hosted on the sites each Sunday, there are other Sunday features and some for other days of the week as well. In total, there is more than $250,000 in tournament guarantees every week for NJ and NV players.

These are some of the weekly highlights:

$100K Sunday (NJ-NV)

It is a longstanding tournament tradition on WSOP NJ-NV. The $100K Weekly, now more familiarly known as the $100K Sunday, started in May 2018 and was such a hit that it continued…and never stopped. The buy-in for the Sunday tournament is $320, and the prize pool is at least $100K each week.

Satellites start at pennies on the dollar, though the most common ones range from $30 to $75.

Other Weekly Sundays

The list of weekly Sunday tournaments has grown to the point that we can simply group them under one heading. They include:

1. $12,500 Sunday Kickoff Rebuy ($50 buy-in)

2. $10K Weekly Sunday Reentry ($100 buy-in)

3. $15K Weekly Sunday Deepstack ($50 buy-in

4. $4K Weekly MonsterStack ($20 buy-in)

5. $1,500 Weekly Sunday Rebuy ($7.77 buy-in)

6. $10K Weekly Sunday Knockout ($100 buy-in)

7. $50K Weekly Sunday 6-Max Reentry ($500 buy-in)

8. $10K Sunday Turbo Deepstack ($50 buy-in)

9. $11,111 Weekly Sunday Rebuy ($11 buy-in)

10. $10K Weekly Sunday PLO 6-Max ($215 buy-in)

$50K Tuesday Showdown

It started out as the $25k Tuesday but is now the $50K Tuesday Showdown. It has a hefty $500 buy-in attached, though there are satellites for the many players who compete at a fraction of the cost.

Just before a busy Sunday, players can get in on some Saturday action with either of these two options:

1. $10K Weekly Saturday Reentry 4-Max ($100 buy-in)

2. $25K Weekly Saturday Reentry ($250 buy-in)

There are a couple of Wednesday regulars as well:

1. $1K Weekly Wednesday PLO-8 ($10 buy-in)

2. $7,500 Weekly Wednesday 5x Rebuy 6-Max ($55 buy-in)

Daily Options

The daily tournaments have a tendency to change over time, but as of the summer of 2023, there are quite a few regular dailies that provide consistency. They start as low as the $1 buy-in Daily PLO Rebuy Turbo with a $50 guarantee and $100 Daily Rebuy (also a $1 buy-in). There are numerous options with $3, $5, and $10 buy-ins. For those with higher bankrolls, there is the $2K Daily with a $50 buy-in or the $10K Daily with a $100 buy-in.

Specifically for WSOP Pennsylvania, players will find dailies ranging from $2 and $3 buy-ins to a $20 buy-in Daily Turbo with a $500 guarantee and a $40 Daily Freezeout with an $800 guarantee.

WSOP Michigan players will find a similar number of dailies but with higher buy-ins. There is just one $2 buy-in and one $3 buy-in Daily Super Turbo, each with a $25 guarantee, as well as several $5 buy-in options with varying guarantees. The highest buy-in is $55 for a Daily 6-Max with a $1,500 guarantee.

Freerolls

Who doesn’t love a freeroll? The play may be faster than usual, but there are quite a lot of fish in the freeroll tanks. For beginners, it is a great way to get accustomed to everything from bet sizing to position play. And other players often use freerolls to try out new or evolving strategies.

WSOP has options for its Nevada and New Jersey players:

1. $100 Daily Freeroll Turbo

2. $25 Daily Freeroll

Michigan and Pennsylvania players will also find daily $100 freerolls.

WSOP Blast Poker

Thanks to WSOP Poker’s partnership with 888poker it also now offers BLAST poker Jackpot Sit & Gos. A Blast Poker SNG is a hyper-fast four-person turbo tournament with two-minute levels. Before every Blast tourney begins, a prize pool multiplier is randomly selected, which can boost prize pools up to 10,000x your buy-in. Buy-ins range from 10 cents to $50.

For example, you buy into a $1 BLAST SNG. The most frequent multiplier for the prize pool will be 2x or 5x, but all of the possibilities are detailed here:

1. 2x = $2 prize pool (565,500 in 1,000,000 times)

2. 5x = $5 prize pool (402,300 in 1M times)

3. 10x = $10 prize pool (31,750 in 1M times)

4. 100x = $100 prize pool (400 in 1M times)

5. 1,000x = $1,000 prize pool (40 in 1M times)

6. 10,000x = $10,000 prize pool (10 in 1M times)

Note that a significant percentage of each buy-in is a fee for WSOP, depending upon the buy-in. The 10-cent BLAST takes 10% of the buy-in as a fee, and that percentage reduces to 7% for the $50 BLAST SNGs.

Software and Graphics

Let’s cut to the chase: The WSOP.com software isn’t the best in the world. It’s not fancy, doesn’t provide enough customization options, and its aesthetic can best be described as “classic.” If you’re a hardcore grinder looking for cascading multi-tabling and a wide range of poker stat tracking options, this won’t satisfy. But it’s a functional, effective poker client for 90% of players – providing the most critical elements of an online poker platform:

1. Security

2. Licensing

3. Reliability

4. Speed

WSOP NJ and NV Software

In short, it does what it needs to do. Geolocation is not often an issue, and the site doesn’t lag or disconnect most of the time. And the software won’t overload your computer. Navigation is fairly intuitive; the lobby and sub-lobbies are simple to peruse, and games are easy to find/register for, sorted by game formats and table stakes.

The WSOP USA experience is reliable because it runs on 888poker software. Overall, it’s a clean online package you can trust with a partnership of two big-name brands in poker. All the industry standard features are there, such as avatars, multi-tabling, player notes, advanced search, and filter options. Games offered vary depending upon which state you play from but can include Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card and Seven-Card Hi-Lo.

WSOP Mobile App

You can download the WSOP poker app for iPhone or iPad from the Apple App Store or Android devices via Google Play. When playing from a desktop, you can download the app for the best playing experience.

Another pro of WSOP.com licensed and regulated in the USA is that a WSOP.com withdrawal or deposit is swift and simple.

.

WSOP App on Mobile

App Features:

1. Solid interface with easy-to-use buttons, navigable lobby & cashier

2. Withdrawals and deposits possible on WSOP.com app

3. Geo-location ensures you’re within appropriate state borders and eligible to play

Safety and Payments

Playing on a big-brand site like WSOP USA means you can count on it being a stable entity. That’s very much the case with WSOP.com NJ and NV, WSOP PA, and WSOP MI. As the online entity of Caesars Entertainment, you know you’re dealing with a gambling industry giant, meaning they have done everything required by every gaming regulator and gambling law to ensure fair play and financial integrity.

As a result, you can count on reliable, fast WSOP.com withdrawals and deposits. You can use many payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard and Paypal, or handle your transactions in person at a land-based Caesars casino property.

As part of the safe and responsible gaming experience, you can also pre-set your gaming session and betting limits in several ways: time limit (total session duration limit), deposit limit (total daily deposit amount), or loss limit (maximum loss per day). You can also self-exclude yourself from the online and/or land-based casino for various periods of time or permanently.

Levels of Competition

As you play on WSOP.com, you won’t be able to avoid the inexperienced players. Beginning players often see too many flops, call too often, and show down without value. This makes the games more exciting and potentially profitable, especially during high tourist seasons when players log on for the experience. It’s the equivalent of tourists going into a Las Vegas Strip poker room for the first time to see what it’s all about. You want those players there.

Yet, it is best to stick to the micro-to-medium stakes if you’re looking for soft games at WSOP.com. Because the average player is tougher nowadays, and there are some grinders on the sites. And when the WSOP Online bracelet events or Circuit ring events are happening, more skilled players tend to log on.

Speaking of bracelets and rings, WSOP Online is the absolute best place to try to win a WSOP gold bracelet or WSOPC ring. The fields are smaller than almost every live event, and you can compete without going to a casino, talking to anyone, or even wearing pants.

Now that WSOP Nevada and WSOP New Jersey are connected, and the Michigan and Pennsylvania sites are live, it is only a matter of time before the WSOP launches in more states. And with Michigan already signed on to the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement, the WSOP should be linking Michigan players in with the NJ-NV player pool very soon, at least before the 2024 World Series of Poker.

The opportunities keep increasing in the still-growing US online poker market.
